We generally cruise with Celebrity, but had not cruised at all this year due to medical considerations. This cruise appealed because we could drive to the port, and it was one of RCL's newest vessels full of state of the art attractions. The boarding experience was amazingly efficient and fast. The baggage handling was truly amazing as well. We dropped our bags at 11:45 and they were outside our cabin before 3:00 PM!!!! We have never had our bags this quickly on any of the 40 odd cruises that we have taken.

The ship was pretty amazing, full of high-tech. things like the iFly simulated sky-diving, the simulated surfing, the huge gym used for basketball, roller-skating, bumper cars, trapeze training, and soccer. The North Star elevated capsule (300 ft. above the water was pretty amazing. We are a late-60's couple and did not partake of any of these attractions. They are designed for younger folks and kids.

We really liked the Solarium area at the bow of the ship, serene, relaxing, lovely space with its cascading pools and 2 hot tubs. The 270 space at the stern of the ship was a great place to relax and enjoy the sea view.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Obstructed Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin DO

A very nice Balcony cabin. Outward view was over top of a lifeboat. No big deal unless you wanted to look down at the water. Cabin and bath were well designed with more storage than we have seen in similar cabins on any other cruise ship. The bed was very firm (compared to what we are used to at home). Our steward was excellent.
