Trip Details
  • Sail Date: Nov 2016
  • Destination: the Eastern Mediterranean
  • Cabin Type: Large Ocean View Stateroom

This was our fourth time on this ship and it looked spruce after its refit. The cabin we choose proved to be a poor choice, 4076 it was at the entrance to the Atrium which after 5 p.m. was bubbling with noise and activities.

The dining rooms were very well set out and the food was up to standard with the service we experienced was outstanding,If there was nothing you fancied on the menus they tried to accommodate you with another dish, The chef was visible around the dining areas inquiring whether or n the food was O.K we opted for my time dining and the turn round and waiting for a table was very short with the option of booking a table at the same time every evening.

The entertainment in the theatre left a lot to be desired after the larger ships, the standard of the girls singers was abysmal screeching and inaudible sounds, the boys were better but the words were again inaudible maybe due to the acoustics from the sound man! The dancers were very good but the shows were let down by the singers screeching.

The service experienced from the staff on board especially from the Guest relations desk was excellent they tried to find me a different cabin to alleviate my problem but as the ship was virtually full no joy but remember I booked the room.

The ports chosen were also very good with the majority within walking distance of the berthing otherwise a shuttle bus provided by the home ports.

The cabin itself was large enough with a good size window , plenty of hangers etc just the location if you want an early night,

The embarkation was the worst I have ever encountered and we have cruise 40 times a large line outside having to manhandle your cases up a rather steep slope before the cases were taken from you, usually the embarkation is very smooth with the luggage taken of you immediately on arriving to embark, never again Venice.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom
Cabin F 4076

poor if you want to retire early noise from the Centrum and the door exiting and entering the Centrum until the early hours of the morning with a myriad of languages being spoken loudly with no consideration of other cruises sleeping
