My wife and I picked this cruise to get us closer to diamond level. This was our 8th cruise with RCCL, the third on the Liberty. We have 34 cruises to date with 4 more booked for next year. We live in San Antonio so it's only a 4 hour drive to Galveston. The embarkation was the fastest ever. Arrived at the terminal at 11AM. We're in the Windjammer having lunch at 11:20AM. Rooms we're ready at 1PM. We really like the size of the Liberty, not small or overly large. I read some reviews about the problem with the staff "hounding" people to buy different packages, drink, spa, speciality dining etc etc. They we''re telling the truth. Outside of the Windjammer was like being in Ocho Rios at the market. It wasn't much better walking down the promenade. It's a major turn-off.

The dining room service was the best. Our waiter and ass't waiter we're great. We had pre-set anytime dining for 5:30 for all 7 nights with the same table. I wish I could say the food was as good as the service. We cruised 2 months ago on this ship and the food was the best we've ever had. The head chef was changed and so did the food. The menu was changed and the so did the quality of the food. We ended up eating more meals at the Windjammer. We had seen most of shows two months ago so we only saw the ice how which was excellent. One of the comedy shows was good, the other just so so.

Have been to all 3 ports at least 10 times. Got off the ship long enough to find a wi-fi hot spot to re-connect with the world. We did self assist debarkation. Too many people don't believe the rules apply to them. I felt sorry for the poor staff who we're trying to keep order. Half the ship used this way to disembark. Once the ship got clearance from customs it took about 15-20 minutes for us to debark, go through customs and get to our car. We we're around number 30 in line. There must've been 400-500 folks behind us in the dining room. The Platinum Theater had more and another several hundred on the promenade. Got to be a better way to do this. Anyway we're one cruise closer to diamond.

Interior Stateroom

Cabin K

We like inside cabins. Room was clean, quiet and dark. Just the way we like it. Wish RCCL would be more like Princess Cruise Line when it comes to selection of TV shows and movies. RCCL showed the same thing over and over. Not that I cruise to watch TV, but it's nice to have something good to watch.
