My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our Panama Canal cruise on the Island Princess. Cabin D722. First about the cabin. A standard Princess mini-suite with ample closet and storage space and bathroom. Huge balcony, thanks probably to being an older ship. Only complaint about cabin was the darned cloth shower curtain that attacks you during a shower. We solved problem by stretching a bunji cord attached to one end of shower to the bathroom door. Worked like a charm. The cabin is way aft so we did have some vibration, but that is to be expected at that location. Cabin attendant was awesome.
Loved the size of the ship. Never a problem getting an elevator and the elevators were very quiet and fast. Food was really good in the buffet and in dining room. Plenty of choices and never had a long wait in the buffet. Even have a system where they deliver your omelet to your table, so no more waiting in line for it. Delicious pizza and food from grill near the pool.
Entertainment was the best we have ever had on over 15 cruises to include all of the bar and lounge entertainers to the production number shows in the theater. Crew members were always pleasant and attentive and room service was very prompt. Highlight of cruise was the canal itself, of course, which is awesome. Discovered an aft deck on deck 8 that few people knew about that was the perfect viewing spot during our travels through the locks.

Excellent snorkling trip.
