  • Cabin Type: Balcony

We chose this cruise when I received a great past guest offer. This time we did a balcony which was the best decision ever, enjoyed being out on it all the time we were in our room. We chose deck 7 in middle which was very comfortable location and felt very little of the ship movement other than your typical. We went to Cabo and Puerto Vallarta as ports from long beach. Cabin steward Eva was amazing, met our every need daily. Sandro our dinner waiter was amazing too, we saw him at other locations during day and he always greeted us. You have to have the melting cake.....Cabins were perfect size for us as we spent most time around the ship during the day and evenings.

Entertainment was great. Shows were spot on and staff was talented. We did the behind the fun tour this cruise and loved it, I highly recommend it. You meet the captain on the bridge, engine control room, laundry, crew dining and lounge, backstage areas, galley, steak house and storage areas. All the crew we met on the tour told us so much about the ship and items we are all curious about. Jill our guide was amazing. You also get many goodies on the tour and after in your cabin.

The food in the steak house was well worth it. We went twice and highly recommend doing it at least one on a cruise. Prime cuts of meet in a private setting with great staff. The chef makes sure you are well treated up there. Its in the smoke stack portion on deck 10 and has a glass ceiling to it. Only steak house like that we were told in the fleet.

Cruise director Adam kept all informed and was always available of you had questions. Great team he has on that ship.

Embarkation was much quicker than last once out of same port for us. We like the new system of time slots and documents being done right outside the dome. Disembarking just as smooth with zones. We checked a bag the night before so got off a little later but still quick and easy through customs and out to luggage area for pick up.

Ports were great. Cabo is not our favorite, been once now will only go back if on another cruise stopping there. Lots of shopping, bars, tours available. We just wandered on our own to the downtown area and shopped. Ate at Cabo Wabo which was good. Much more aggressive locals in Cabo than Puerto Vallarta but nothing out of the ordinary. Found prices to be higher in Cabo than Puerto Vallarta too. Puerto Vallarta was amazing, our favorite. Looking forward to going back in the future. Shopping was great, food was amazing. We got a recommendation from one shop we for local fare and it was spot on right near the cathedral. Beautiful beaches and landscape. Great combo of weather, beaches, jungle and people. As far as excursions, we did the Rhythm of the Night one and loved it. The boat ride over to the cove is about 45 minutes and Victor and his crew were wonderful hosts. Free flowing drinks, music and a show for us. The cove you go to is beautiful, candle lit walk ways everywhere, table by the beach for an amazing meal then the show in the jungle theatre. Absolutely amazing show!!!! The singing, music , dancing and acrobatics were just as good as a cirque show. The boat ride back just as fun.

One final cool deal we found in long beach is at Hotel Maya. They have a cruise package. You stay there one night(we did the night before leaving) then you can park your car at the hotel while on the cruise. Package was around 275.00 which hotel even on queen mary was 200.00 for that night then add parking of 20.00 per night at port garage and it was the best way for us to go. They shuttle you to and from the port and were prompt and on time.

Overall, everything was great. We had no issues at all with anything regarding service, food, cabin, or in general.

Cabin Review

Balcony
Cabin 8B 7180

Cabin was normal cruise cabin with a balcony. Plenty of storage, room in bathroom, always clean and ready for us thanks to our steward Eva. Only item we were hoping for was a lounger on the balcony. While it had two chairs and small table. We would have loved at least one lounger to lie down on while out there reading. The refrigerator was a great plus on this boat. We pre ordered bottled water that was waiting in our cabin for us for the week.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

Cabo San Lucas

Lots to do and see. Shopping all over and many bars and local places to eat. Just not us we found. Prices seemed higher than other ports on basic gift items. Very much the party port on this cruise.

Rhythms of the Night

Amazing from the boat ride with Victor and his crew to the meal in the cove at the beach side to the amazing show. Highly recommend this excursion.
