This was a nice getaway but it did not quite meet all of our expectations. We went with two other couples (so 6 people total, all between 21-32). For us and one other couple in our group, this was our first cruise. We were really excited for the "amazing food", "awesome entertainment", and "spectacular nightlife" on the ship. All of the above was (sadly to say), sub-par. Our cabin was nice and the ship overall was well decorated. Surprisingly, the guests on the ship were mostly senior adults and adult couples. I think I saw about 5 children total.

The Food: We ate at the windjammer cafe, the deli, and the dining room (the only 3 places that were included in the price of the cruise). The Windjammer: The food was more like low quality, cafeteria food and was about the same every night. The ice cream machine was broken during the entire cruise and only served one flavor out of three. I often had milk and cookies for dessert and on one occasion I asked a staff member for a carton of milk (which they kept behind the bar) and he told me that milk was only allowed at breakfast. Confused, I then asked another staff member at another counter and he gladly gave me a carton of milk. So the inconsistency there threw me off a bit. The Deli: Small place serving baked items, sandwiches and salads. Served pizza after 9:30pm. The staff behind the counter was nice. It was as expected. The Dining Room: We ate here 3 nights. The first night was disappointing. I ordered the salmon and was brought the "sirloin steak" instead. The steak was not steak at all! It was roast beef! My friend that actually received the salmon said it was cold. We went back on formal night and had a much better experience. We had a waitress named "Monica", and she was amazing! The last night of the cruise we requested to sit in her section again and had another great dinner! Overall, we expected to be able to eat lobster, crab legs, and other higher quality foods and we expected to have more dining options included in our cruise. We overheard a lot of other cruisers complain about the quality of the food.

The Entertainment: We enjoyed the comedians. The Broadway show was nice but was definitely geared towards a much older crowd. There was bingo, that you had to pay for. There were several dance parties that lasted about an hour each, including 70's night and a poolside dance party. Sadly, we missed all of the art auctions, that included complimentary champagne. I felt that there were more events that required an extra cost than there were free events on the ship. They had trivia and game shows. We got up and left in the middle of "Who wants to feel like a millionaire" because the host was pretty much using it as a way to try to inform everyone about booking their next cruise. The pools were nice but the hot tubs were not very hot and stayed crowded. The rock climbing wall did not open a lot and only stayed open for about an hour at a time. One girl arrived about 5 minutes before they were scheduled to end rock climbing and the guy would not let her climb, even though there was hardly any people in line. When we commented on that, the guy told us that it was for safety. The water slide in the kids pool was shut down the entire cruise. We kept ourselves entertained, playing cards a good portion of the cruise. The majority of the night life on this ship consisted of eating dinner and drinking at the bar. Not much else. Some nights for us consisted of just hanging out in our cabin and watching TV because there was not much else going on.

Cabin M

The cabin was nice and clean. The shower was SUPER small. We were happy overall with our cabin.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

The actual moped ride was nice. Upon returning the mopeds, we were told that we needed to pay $40 worth of damages that we did not do. The owner pointed out a tiny scratch on the side of the moped. They would not let us back on the ship until the "dispute" was settled. We ended up giving them $20 just to let it go so we could get back on our ship in time. That put a big damper on our entire day. When speaking to another couple, they said that the same thing happened to them but that the owner settled for a case of beer instead of money. What a scam! Would NOT recommend renting mopeds for future cruisers!
