We were very excited to cruise NCL for the first time. We've cruised Celebrity, Carnival and Royal Caribbean in the past, and wanted to see how NCL stacked up. Unfortunately, up until this cruise Carnival had been our least favorite. Now Norwegian is.

I feel as though there was a lot of disorganization on this ship. I think they got off to the wrong foot because on this cruise they had just relocated from Barcelona. I also heard they got a new crew. They started off bad and although there were good things and we still had a good time, there seemed to be more mess ups than on other ships we have been on.

Embarkation: For lack of a better term....a hot mess. From the time we were dropped off at the port until the time we got on the ship it was over 2.5 hours. That's a long time to stand in line, on concrete. My back was aching terribly and I was parched by the time we got on the ship. (Of course this is partially because we'd spent 1.5 hours prior to that waiting for our shuttle from our hotel to port...but that's another story.) Read more
