We were a party of five friends who booked this cruise specifically for the destinations of Istanbul and Ephesus in Turkey. When the unrest started in Istanbul H&A changed the itinerary for two nights in Athens which although disappointed we understood, however shortly before our cruise they also changed the itinerary again and remove Ephesus and substituted Albania. We were extremely anger about this as there were no troubles in the area. We complained in writing asking for a change of cruise itinerary but the experience with customers service was very poor. Despite emails and telephone calls it took a number of occasions before customer service responded that there was nothing they could do.

I must add at this point, the cabin crew, waiters, waitress etc. were exceptional and this review is no criticism of them!

We had no alternative but to carry on with the cruise as there was no alternative offered. The embarkation was fine as was the cabin, however, we expected tea/coffee facilities in the stateroom as other cruise lines we have used in the past.
