We are experiencing cruisers! Cunard(3), Celebrity(2), Carnival(1), Ocean Village,(1)(its very first cruise across the Atlantic), and Regent Seven Seas(1) around SE Asia and Australia. The latter has probably spoilt us for all time.
We arrived in Vancouver on the 19th May, joining the "Zuiderdam" on the 23rd.An uneventful flight by British Airways. On time each way, with no fuss. The Hampton Inn was good. Handy for transport, with very helpful staff. Adequate breakfast included. We managed Grouse Mountain, a return trip on the "Whistler Mountaineer " and time around Granville Island and the downtown tower viewing platform. All great fun and very interesting. Much better than our two excursions from the "Zuiderdam".
Embarkation was very slow indeed. Just one long queue. At least we sat in rows, waiting to be finger printed and photographed by US Border Agents even though we were in Vancouver, Canada. Most odd, but we supposed it saved time say in Juneau.
Plenty of room except around the bottom of the bed. Good wardrobe space. Bathroom had a bath & Shower.
