We sailed for 21 fabulous days, on back to back cruises. As the cruises began and ended in Venice, we had extra time there so did spend $ on pre or post stays in Venice. We decided to put that money into a second cruise, which worked out perfectly, no need to change cabins, and only one repeat port (Athens - where we went to Corinth instead).

To get to the cruise from the Marco Polo airport you can take bus 7 to Piazza Roma, and then the People Mover to Maritima port. We got there early and they served refreshments while you waited. Boarding seemed to be in order of how long you'd been waiting, which is a good system, and began about 10:30.

We like this smaller ship much better than the larger Allure of the Seas we were on last year. There were no line ups and plenty of seating in the theatre for shows each evening. We really enjoyed the variety of entertainment - musical, comedy, acrobatic ... Also the before dinner musicians in the Centrum were lovely.

Cabin Review

Family Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin FO

Our cabin was nice, nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. There was loads of storage space, and we received extra hangers and facecloths upon request. There were no lotions etc but I bring my own anyway. We liked our quiet location on the second floor. The bed was comfortable and they provide hard and soft pillows. Everything was kept spotlessly clean.

Port Reviews

Venice

Venice is a great city to just wander around in, you don't need to take an excursion, although we did use the ship's shuttle service to get to town you don't need to pay for a Grand Canal excursion as our shipmwentbdiwn it anyway. We went in some of the churches we came across, and even into St Marks basilica as the line up was not that long on that day.
