I wanted to get from UK to Australia on an alternative to flying. This ships repositioning met the need and the dates suited.
Ive had not sailed with Princess Line before so it was a new experience and also had not done longer than 14 days so was a bit nervous on its length before sailing.
The ship was large by my past standards, 3000 passengers and fully booked so was operating to maximum capacity and it showed. Sometimes it was hard to get a seat anywhere and the staff struggled with the sheer numbers. Given full capacity they did a good job.
The location was great and access to the Piazza area of the ship made a great location. Although only an ocean view cabin, it was just fine.
Their selection of ports was baffling, three days in Italy and two days in Dubai could have had an extra day in Jordon rather than Dubai or one day less in Italy. Then on to India, a total debacle and somewhere like Male would have been nicer.
Then they did it again in Thailand, three different ports for a day at a time. Two days would have been enough and add another port in a different country.
