We have cruised many times before and booked QM2 as a taster cruise for us and two friends as they hadn't cruised before. Car Parking and embarkation fabulous. Overall ship fantastic, new decor and ambience great, However staff all appeared to be rushed and inattentive. New buffet area like a cattle market, unacceptable queuing for afternoon tea. Although stateroom was clean had to ask steward several times for different items which we didn't get. We had 2 mornings without hot water in bathroom and leaking tap in our friends bathroom which was never fixed although reported. This tap had obviously been leaking for sometime as sink stained. Although QM2 has had a major refit and new carpets I cannot understand how our balcony stateroom had stained carpets. All in all not a good first experience with Cunard. Having travelled with sister company P&O 3 times I would rate them considerably better.
Having emailed Cunard no apology as yet saying can take up to 28 days to reply.
