Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

We chose this cruise because it was the first for the Oasis out of Port Canaveral. We only left the ship once briefly in Costa Maya. The balance of the cruise we spent exploring the ship and enjoying the various areas of the ship. We were very impressed by the Central Park area and enjoyed music under the stars one evening. Embarkation actually went more smoothly than we anticipated, knowing it was a first. Disembarkation went very smoothly and the entire process didn't take thirty minutes for us once our number was called.

The food in the dining room was wonderful and the service was excellent. We attended most all of the shows and found them to be excellent. The one word of advice I would give is if you go to the "Come Fly With Me" show, do not sit under the balcony. If you do, you'll miss a good part of the show.

Our cabin was clean and well appointed but I do believe there is less storage space than we had in a comparable cabin on the Freedom of the Seas. The closet was smaller and there are fewer drawers. Our cabin steward helped us with some special requests and was always there to help.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Other than having less storage space than we're used to this was an excellent cabin and we have scheduled next years cruise only four cabins away from our cabin for this cruise.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

We visited the port shopping area only. There were many opportunities for shopping but many of the merchants were overly aggressive.
