  3. Carnival Miracle
We wanted to do something Special for our 25th Anniversary and Carnival sailing out of Long Beach to Cabo San Lucas and Puerta Vallarta at a relatively inexpensive price seemed a good choice. We were wrong. They are efficient at embarkation and debarkation, The Long Beach Terminal has good covered parking if you drive to the terminal. There were good choices of shore excursions. Cabo San Lucas is reached from Tender boats while your ship is at anchor. There were plenty of the Tenders to efficiently serve the Ship. But, the specialty restaurant, Nick and Nora's steakhouse was bad. We went on the first "Elegant Night" where men should be dressed in a coat and tie at a minimum. They let people in dressed in T-shirts and shorts. That may be fine to some but people had saved to celebrate their Birthdays and Anniversaries and dressed for the occasions and spent $35.00 per person above the cost of their cruise for gristly overcooked steak and tough lobster. Also, the hostess and supervisor were rude and had no customer concern. When we told the Chef who makes an obligatory stop about the bad food, he said nothing and did nothing about it. You can get the same peace of Gristle in the main Baccus Dining Room for $20,00 and you ill get better service. STAY AWAY FROM SPECIALTY RESTAURANTS ON CARNIVAL MIRACLE. The main dining room is relatively good and the Buffet on the Lido Deck is pretty good also. In general, the entertainment was bad, especially the "Motown" review with one of the most white man I have every seen doing an extremely poor imitation of James Brown. But, even this travesty was not as bad as the Beach Boys / Jimmy Buffett renditions that lacked any harmony. "Greg" the piano man in the piano bar was entertaining and had an interesting "Boogie" beat. Most of the lower ranks crew were friendly and hard working. But, with the exception of Ms. ChonChon from India who is the Hostess at the 3rd Deck of the Baccus Dining Room, most of the lesser supervisors are rude and not customer oriented. This is especially true of the Serbian Ladies at the Customer Service Desk who are so very rude. If you are saiiling on the West Coast of North America go on any other ship rather than Carnival Miracle. It is the worst ship and crew that I have ever been on. I will never sail on this ship again and I have a bad taste now for Carnival when I used to like them fairly well.

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony
Cabin 8M 6264
Old and beat up furniture in this cabin. Not much of an extension on the balcony. Smokers from the "Serenity" adult pool are through their butts overboard against the rules and they land daily on this balcony. But, then Carnival fails to enforce their smoking and dress rules. The Steward seemed overworked.
