As a retired couple, early 60's, we have cruised with other companies but were attracted to this cruise because of the timing and ports visited. We booked a stateroom with balcony (6214) and were very pleased with the size, facilities and comfort it provided for us.
We flew from Manchester to Barcelona via Paris and home from Barcelona to Manchester via Amsterdam, no real problems apart from the time spent in airports, but we would prefer to fly direct to the departure port next time we cruise.
Celebrity Equinox is a lovely ship, big enough to find lots of places to explore but not too large to become lost in. We had the Classic Drinks package included in our package and found this to be perfectly adequate for social and drinks at dinner. There was a wide choice of bars, inside and outside, all staffed by very friendly crew. We never had to wait for a drink or table service. We had lunch in the café and dinner in the main restaurant and could not fault service or quality/choice of food in either. There is a wide choice of alternative dining venues at an additional cost, but we did not use these as we were more than happy with the inclusive venues. Likewise there is offered a wide choice of tours from the ports visited, but we preferred to 'do our own thing' and used local tour operatives at very low cost and managed without problems. Entertainment on the ship is superb, especially in the main theatre, which we visited every night on board and enjoying each one.
Excellent stateroom with plenty of storage room, comfy bed ad good shower room.
