Our NCL cruise started off well. Embarkation was smooth and efficient. We found the Norwegian Sky public areas clean but showing signs of wear. It appears like it’s time for a dry dock refresh.
Our oceanview cabin was mostly as expected. We were disappointed that the sitting chair promised online was not in the room. There was only the bed and an uncomfortable desk chair for seating. There was certainly space in the cabin for an upholstered chair or two.
We enjoyed the service provided by all wait staff and bartenders. Originally, we were a little nervous about cruising on an all-inclusive open bar “booze cruise”. It was better than we expected! NCL did a great job ensuring that we had the drinks we wanted. The only drawback was the number of fellow passengers who could not handle what they consumed. It wasn’t too bad but it was apparent.

Mid-Ship Oceanview Porthole Window
This oceanview cabin was mostly as expected.
We were disappointed that the sitting chair promised online was not in the room. There was only the bed and an uncomfortable desk chair for seating. There was certainly space in the cabin for an upholstered chair or two.
The cabin is supposed to sleep 3. I do not know how since there is only 1 double-bed in the room. There is no bunk bed or sleeper sofa in the room.
Port Reviews
Nassau
There is a lot of shopping close to the port. It is an easy walk and easy to navigate. There appears to be a lot of crime in the area; there is a heavy and visible police presence. This is too bad. It made us uncomfortable in what should have been a nice port day.
Miami
Getting to the port is easy. The traffic around the port was well-managed.
