Itinerary, timing and pricing were key factors in choosing this cruise.
The ports were mostly places we wanted to see.
It was the end of season to avoid crowds and the heat of summer.
The price was very good because of late season.
The ship is still new, clean and staff were very welcoming.
Did not like the constant sales pressure to buy fancy restaurant packages, Internet, spa and drink packages, which are way over priced. We were met at the buffet entrance every day with these sales pitches. Also the waiters only came around to try to get you to buy drinks, but never to offer coffee or juices. Little things like Sushi, baking, special coffees cost extra.
Service in the formal dining room was excellent. We wanted 6 pm seating at a regular table but could not get it so went for anytime and enjoyed meeting many interesting people.
Disappointed that common exercises (Zumba, yoga) were extra costs. Exercise room had lots of options but we did not use them.
The ports in Israel, were not set up for cruise ships so shuttle buses were required to get out of the ports (extra cost in Ashdod).
Did not use ship excursions, found better deals on our own.
Entertainment was ok but we have seen better on our previous cruise (Princess).
It was great that there are so many different activities on board we could not possibly do them all.
The cabin was nice, a little crowded with furniture but met all our needs.
Bathroom counter was small but the shower was wonderful.
The veranda was a bonus, great location on the ship - middle aft , close to elevators but far enough away for noise buffer.
Walked around on our own.
Free Walking tour with guide, Acropolis on our own.
Arranged a private tour guide, excellent got to see all of Ephesus.
Too easy to get lost in the "streets" which were a just a maze of narrow passageways.
Arranged our own excursion, Galilee.
Arranged our own tour and was great except for the crowds and traffic in Jerusalem.
Took our own taxi to Olympia, nice but not impressive.
Archimedes museum in town was way more interesting.
No excursions, walked around on our own.
