We chose this cruise because we didn't want to fly but drive to the port. The cost was more or less the same for a balcony on our usual Celebrity. I don't think we will do another Carnival cruise and stick to Celebrity. The food was pretty good. The bathrooms were a little disappointing. I really love the showers on Celebrity. Celebrity does not have shower curtains, but a proper shower door. The public restrooms on Carnival are not great also, no seat cover for toilets and no automatic doors so you have to touch the door handles or use the little pieces of tissue paper they have by the door. These little papers are all over the floor because people are too lazy to put them in a trash can.

You have to ask for everything in the room now, robes and ice buckets. No longer do you get individual soap/shampoos, but have those stupid built in ones in the shower. We bring our own stuff anyway, but for some it can be annoying to use these.

The itinerary was just ok. The best thing we did on the cruise was the excursion "Rhythms of the night". We would do that again and it was worth the price.

Cabin Review

Premium Balcony

We had an aft cabin on the 7th floor. Those are the ones we always book. It was never cleaned, the floor was dirty out there and most morning had some debris from the Sanctuary floor 2 floors above. You have to ask for ice and robes now, which is a pain.
