Forgot the other lines. Azamara tries hard and delivers. Everything is great--especially the shows if you keep in mind there are only 600 passengers on the ship. Have sailed five times on Azamara and I just think it's the best line. I've sailed Oceania, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Star Clipper, Viking River and Viking Ocean. All are good but Azamara just has that extra something special. Just don't go if you are looking for problems. Whiners can always find something but this line always goes the extra mile.

The staff are incomparable. They always have time for you, time to answer a question, time to fix something, get you something you need, whatever. And, always with a smile. Don't know how people can work so hard and still be eager to please. Love the fact that alcohol and gratuities are included. You don't feel that people have their hands out all the time.

Club Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

Cabin VX

They have thought of everything. Hair dryer is poor though. I travel solo so I find the cabin size perfect. If my husband were with me, he would have travel putting up his things! The cabin steward, Mario, did a fine job and was not intrusive which is good for me. Fruit every day and teeny sweets every night. Water and soft drinks (complimentary) always loaded in fridge. Again, what more can you ask for?

Port Reviews

La Romana (Casa de Campo)

Took the ship-provided bus to Caso de Campo. info was late arriving so many people didn't understand what to do. Case de Campo was deserted but we found a nice waterfront cafe (Pepperoni) and had delicious food and great wifi for a few hours. Then walked into town to store and picked up a few things. Generally a good stop

Curacao

Great opportunity to walk off ship through town. Lovely!

St. Barts

Just took a taxi tour for $75 for three people. Lovely island, good taxi driver. Then went to coffee shop and beach. All nice.

St. Maarten

Had organized my own sailing trip. No wind but a nice excursion, lunch and snorkeling.

Virgin Gorda

Took shuttle to Baths. Was fun until Disney ship arrived with hundreds of people. Just ridiculous. Some couldn't walk well through the caves, we had to wait for 80 people or so to pass to return to beach. If you go, go early.
