Did not have time to stay in Rome before or after but have been to Rome before . Selected the Silhouette because of the ports it was visiting and because we have sailed on the Sister ship in 2012 . From the first night on our ship we had a great overall experience . We took the early dinner sitting because we like to eat early and be able to watch the entertainment after and the entertainment was above average . We did not go to any of the pay extra resteraunts as the food in the main dining room was as good as you could possible get and we were having so much fun with the two couples we met on day one at our table and even though my wife had her birthday while on the cruise she wanted to enjoy her birthday with our friends but she did have her day at the spa and enjoyed it very much .

I have to comment on the beverage packages because we do not drink so much that it justified the two of us buying these packages at 55 $ per day per person and then they add the 18% gratuity on it so it adds up to almost one thousand dollars for the cheap one . We did buy one and had to use our heads in order for us to make it work where we both got a drink without any assle and I think they still came out ahead .

We did our shore excursion with celebrity everywhere except Israel and enjoyed ever one very much . Our excursion in Israel was booked though a company we got from people who were on cruise critic roll call . Although we had a couple of small hiccups on our journey through Israel the overall experience was nothing but fabulous and I want to thank the couple who told us about guided tours Israel and our tour guide for the three days .
