We are NCL Latitudes members who booked this cruise 9 months in advance and booked shore excursions as soon as they became available. Unfortunately, this cruise was a series of broken promises and poor quality.

The cruise we booked had stops in Florida, their island Great Stirrup Cay, and Nassau. We booked it because I was really looking forward to visiting Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and swimming with the sting rays at Great Stirrup Cay... those were our booked long in advance shore excursions. Three days before the cruise, NCL sent out a email stating that they were still doing construction in GSC and would NOT be stopping there. Then we were late getting into Port Canaveral Florida and they announced that ALL Florida shore excursions were cancelled. So we spent the Florida time sitting in the Port building checking our phone messages and email instead of seeing the Space Center... and spent no time at all on Great Stirrup Cay (NCL has a 100% record in NOT being able to stop at GSC since this happened on our last FL cruise also). NCL substituted 2 days at Nassau which was not interesting to us and we would have not bought this cruise if it was advertised as such.

Latitudes - the website states that Latitudes members receive certain awards - but I guess they need to update their NCL website since we didn't receive them. We have collected the ships pin on each of our NCL cruises and the website still lists it but we asked our room steward why the pins weren't in our rooms and he (and Guest Services when I went to check), said that they haven't been given them for years, so there were no ship pins.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BA

The cabin itself was OK but the cabin service was far from stellar. There was no way to contact the steward without physically looking for him. The phone number on his card that was in the room didn't work, and if you pressed the housekeeping key on the room phone, it always said he was out and did not allow you to leave a voicemail.

Port Reviews

Nassau

We didn't take an excursion, we walked to Junkaroo Beach and it was filthy and had broken glass in the sand.
