Sail Date: Nov 2016

We took this cruise as a long weekend getaway. I have sailed on one other cruise with Royal Caribbean from San Juan, and it was great. This cruise, however was extremely disappointing.

We ordered a Royal Refreshment drink package for my husband, which is to include soda, specialty coffees, non-alcoholic cocktails, etc. However, we were informed after boarding that the package included soda only (Classic package). When going to guest services, the manager was extremely rude and basically said "Sorry, but you paid $106.00 for the soda only package". We had to pay full price for the drinks that should have been included. Upon returning home I have verified the e-mail receipt, which indeed states that the other package was purchased.

On the second day of the cruise we had breakfast at the Windjammer, which was absolutely terrible. Passengers were complaining, but the overall attitude of the staff was uncaring and rude. The next day we chose to have breakfast in the main dining room, but apparently everyone else wanted to avoid the Windjammer after the experience from the day before. There was a line going fully down the hall of people waiting for tables. The DR staff was not equipped to deal with this, so the service was very slow.
