We enjoy the informality and the anytime dining on Norwegian, and we liked the new ports of Kotor and Dubrovnik. The entertainment was good, the facilities for people in walkers like my husband was very good. The staff in the buffet and the main diningroom (Garden) were excellent - friendly and efficient. Good shower with lots of room. We had requested "Meet and assist" for my husband, who uses a walker and has difficulty standing for any length of time. We found both embarkation and especially disembarkation quick and easy.

On the negative side, this is an older ship waiting for drydock in January. Our cabin (inside 10091) was adequate, but no seating area and no bedside table on my side for glasses, book, water, etc. but a great cabin steward. The food in the main dining room was only so-so and several times we exchanged our first selection for something else. Bread good, desserts very good, too much emphasis on the exotic instead of providing reliably good food. My steak (as in steak, frites) was tough, my husband's pasta carbonara both sticky and only lukewarm, crab cakes mushy, etc.

We went on three shore excursions with the ship and two booked privately. Our ship tours in Kotor and Dubrovnik were good, but the tour leader in Kotor ignored my husband's struggles with walking and we had to rely on other guests for assistance. This tour was rated 1 in difficulty, but involved a lot of walking, some of it uphill, and the approach to the boat was difficult. The tour in Dubrovnik was also too much for my husband, but the guide was fine and we enjoyed what we could of the port very much. I booked a tour for me alone in Florence and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We had a short visit to a leather factory, a 90 minute trip to Florence, then about a two hour guided walking tour and finally 4 hours of free time. Our guide, Samuel, showed us a nice, inexpensive and tasty restaurant for lunch and showed us how to orient ourselves and get back to the meeting point. The gelato was to die for!
