With such outstanding itineraries, great service and very comfortable accommodations, Princess has been our favorite for over 25 cruises! However, our last two cruises have been on the Royal Princess, our new favorite ship in the Princess Fleet! We like the buffet and make good use of this venue. The Horizon Court on the Royal is a vast improvement over the other ships in the fleet (save the Regal, the Royal's sister ship). With the addition of The Bistro and The Pastry Shop, and an ingeniously designed layout, the new buffet is the envy of every other cruise ship. The food selections seem to have been expanded and with the larger layout, lines are very reasonable even at busy times. Also, we rarely have any issue finding a seat. We love the new Horizon Court!

The expanded Atrium is another highlight. Again, a very nice design. One of our favorite venues in the Atrium is the restaurant called Alfredo's. While having dinner in one of the dining rooms is always excellent, it usually is at least a 90-120 minute affair. If we are short on time, or just don't want to make a big production out of lunch or dinner, and like being waited on, Alredo's is the place to go. The selection is somewhat limited but the menu is tasty! The thin-crust pizza has to be some of the best in the cruise industry. Service is superb, quick, and very friendly.

We love the Royal Princess!

Port Reviews

Barcelona

Barcelona is a wonderful city!

Cartagena (Spain)

Cartagena is located on a beautiful section of coast. We took an excursion 30 miles inland to the town of Murcia and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Marseille

Beautiful walk through a fascinating walled city.

Florence (Livorno)

Another beautiful and unique old walled city dripping in history.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Rome - what more is there to say? Walking the old city, touring St. Peter's, seeing the famous monuments - it was wonderful!

Kotor

Kotor is in one of the prettiest settings we have ever seen. The waterways approaching the city are spectacular. We toured the old walled city on our own and found it very memorable. If you have the chance to go to Kotor, do it!

Mykonos

We walked the charming streets and alleys of one of the cutest towns one could ever visit. Shopping options are nearly limitless. What a neat place to visit!

Athens (Piraeus)

Athens, another great city of the world. We took excursions to Corinth and Delphi which were both fascinating. The metro subway system was a snap to use and very convenient. The Acopolis is a must visit as well.
