This was our 3rd T/A and 17th cruise with RCCL; we have had some excellent experiences, but this is the best so far. Beautiful ship and a wonderful crew. As with most things it is all about leadership; Captain Gus is far more than a nice guy and entertaining speaker, he is a gifted leader. His leadership was felt throughout the ship by both crew and passengers. Service was not perfect, but any shortcomings were met quickly and with a smile. With 2.498 Diamond and above cruisers, the staff could not have done a better job of providing the extra benefits that we loyal (and generally spoiled) cruisers expect.
One of the most pleasant surprises was that Dining Room food was so good we regretted having prepaid for 7 dinners at specialty restaurants. If you enjoy wine, the Vintages staff is delightful and knowledgeable.
Entertainment was top notch; "Grease" was delightful and well acted, danced and sung. Onboard enrichment was set up to appeal to a wide array of interests. We very much enjoyed the Spanish lessons provided by Vince Amato; he is so entertaining and is a gifted teacher.
RCCL pays attention to space efficiency and ease of use; this was a D1 balcony and only 187 sqft, but there was plenty of storage room and we never felt cramped. Love the new shower; much larger and easier to use than the previous models.
