Wife and I just got back from a 13 night Canaries cruise on Navigator of the Seas (sailed on 28th October 2016), we are diamond + members and this was our 17th cruise with RCI on numerous ships.
Embarkation at Southampton:
Very smooth no problems
We were on a table for 10 but only one other couple ever turned up for the evening meals and they were fantastic company Terry and Audrey, our two waiters were great.
The food was not up to the usual standard of RCI in our opinion, on some occasions only warm and not a great selection on the menu.
We didn't book any excursions on board and did our own thing in each port, we would recommend doing the cable car and down in the baskets in Madeira this is great fun.
Poolside entertainment was limited mainly due to the weather, service on board was good and all staff very helpful and pleasant..
Cabin (Junior Suite) was very spacious with walk-in closet for clothes and numerous drawers and shelves throughout the cabin.
One negative point is there was no coffee table so if you made a cup of tea or coffee and sat on the sofa you had to use the floor for your cup!
We asked for a coffee table and was told no cabins had coffee tables any more.
Not sure why RCI choose to dock here, there's nothing special about this place, only shops!
Good for shopping.
Weather permitting Vigo is a lovely place to walk round and the people verty friendly.
Lots to see and do in Lisbon but be aware of beggars and pick pockets.
Nice beah about 30mins walk from where ship docks.
We got a local bus (No 190) on main road to a beach for only 5euros return about 15minute journey each way, well worth it.
Great place very friendly.
