We were looking for a short cruise for our anniversary wanted it to be relaxing, so I went to Cruise Critic to find the best price for what we wanted then started reading the reviews on the Majesty of the Seas. Lesson learned regarding an older ship. So many comments about the ship being so warm so I unpacked my warmer clothes and we both were very cold in our cabin I 7025 and we could not get it warmer using the thermostat. At nap time and at night we so enjoyed the warmth of the comforter. Otherwise we enjoyed our Oceanview and had the best steward m,Lydia who graciously took care of all our requests. We knew the bathroom would be small having been on most of RCCL'S older ships but it was in great shape along with the rest of the ship.
Except for ordering wrong for me and not ordering something else the food and service in the dining room was better than we've had on RCCL in years. Tradewinds buffet was quite good for such a small venue which meant less choices then the larger ships.
The only complaint we had was the drinks. Give me a break $30.00 for a very small martini for each of us and a well liquor at that and could not believe no water in our cabin either. In my opinion it is wrong to try to force seniors or anyone to purchase the drink packages.
We were happy except for NO free water and cold for us seniors.
We went to CVS to purchase water holders and large bottles of water for our room.
It was a lovely day and poking in the stores is always fun.
