First time on a cruise and was very apprehensive thinking that I would get sea sick and not sure what to expect. Went with two bus loads of people leaving New York City. Very long lines to get onto the ship. I didn't get sick just a little dizzy/off-balance feeling the last two days. All of the ship's staff were very pleasant and helpful. Norwegian needs to get more of a variety in the nightly musical entertainment since it was the same few acts rotating throughout the ship. There was not one rock/classic rock/dance rock band on the ship. The Rock of Ages musical show was excellent. Melvin Howard (acoustic guitarist/singer) was excellent. Les Getrex played in Fat Cats club and was enjoyable but would have been nice to see somebody else also. Last two nights- Friday and Saturday was kind of short on nightly entertainment and we found ourselves wondering what to do besides listening to karaoke or a d.j. Great meals at Cagney's and Manhattan Room and Garden buffet for lunch was pretty good. Nassau port was dirty and un-welcoming. Saw a drunk man sprawled out on the sidewalk in front of busy shops. Good thing we decided to buy the Blue Lagoon excursion on the second day because it was beautiful and we had a great time on the beach. Norwegian should offer free wifi to their customers. Overall, I had a great time but not sure if I will go on a cruise again.
Very clean cabin, plenty of storage. Loved sitting on the balcony. Didn't have to wait long to get hot water in the bathroom/shower. More television channels would be nice and they should offer free wifi.
Not enough time to take an excursion since someone had to be taken off the ship by helicopter and all excursions were refunded.
Didn't see NYC except for being on the ship when leaving. Great view of Statue of Liberty.
