We chose to go on the Breeze because it was the new ship and in the same class as the Carnival Magic we had sailed on before. Reservations went great and even upgraded just a couple of days before we left port. Upon arrival to the ship it didn't take long to realize "The Breeze" was not anywhere close to the Magic. The wallpaper was coming off the walls, the decor in the marketplace dining was lined with dust and grime. There was an ever present smell or sewage, and the our questions seemed to never be answered correctly. Our stateroom was cleaned and care for nicely. We started out scheduled to dine in Blush and made it through the first night tucked away in a corner with stains on the chairs and no table linens. We were brought the wrong food and it was cold, when we finally received what we had ordered. Our waitstaff was not attentive and we could not even get our water refilled. The next morning I requested we be moved to the opposite restaurant, Saphire. Unfortunately we could not have 8:15 reserved dining and had to have, your time. We enjoy building relationships with others at our table and our wait staff. We had a great waiter named Ryan two of the nights. He was very attentive, brought us clean flatware between each course, kept our glasses filled, was personable, and remembered our names the rest of the week. We were unable to have him at every dinner.

Carnival failed to let passengers know in advance that our cruise was a LGBT cruise. They allowed these groups to rent out the piano bar, comedy club, and night club. We were never able to use those parts of the ship. I didn't realize how vulgar and crude Halloween could get. We were most upset that Carnival did not put a stop to the homosexual couple who were dressed as a Priest and a little boy in footed pajamas. Objectification of sexual abuse to a child is wrong, reguardless of sexual orientation. We had the choice to either stay in our room or be exposed to gay men making out in public. There were used condoms on the Serenity deck, and situations that were inappropriate for homosexual or heterosexual couples. There were children on this ship...I'm thankful mine were not with me...The Preist would have caused great concern for their safety.

I called and filled a formal complaint to Carnival in which I was informed they could do nothing for us. That is sad since this was my third Carnival Cruise and I had t even tried another cruise line.
