I was a solo traveler on the Norwegian Pearl and really impressed with the entire staff on this ship. In particular there was an activities person assigned to us who planned daily activities that we could join in on if we desired. I found the staff to be very responsive to issues (broken safe, phone, etc.) . I have been on about a dozen cruises on 5 different lines and must say that I found the food and entertainment to be excellent on the Pearl. I did not take part in NCL excursions but booked my tours independently. I enjoyed the narrative of the Panama Canal and appreciate the fact that they opened up deck 8 crew area for us at 6am so we could watch the total lock experience. I had been to Belize, Costa Maya, and roatan before but enjoyed them again. Would highly recommend zip lining and cave tubing if you like outdoor activities. I also liked the free style dining and ate most of my meals in the Summer Palace but of course also visited the buffet numerous times. I especially appreciated the Indian food but found all to be good quality.

I had no problems with embarkation and disembarkation although we did not come back to the same terminal when we returned (f-b).There were very few children on the cruise as school was in session. I would definitely recommend this cruise to others and will cruise again with NCL.
