We have cruised Carnival 3 times and this was our second time on Pride. I was looking forward to booking on board for next summer. Our first time on Pride was so good, I knew even if it did the same old Bahama run, we could do this ship over and over. That was 2010. Its 2016 and I dont know what the heck happened. There isnt much to do- a scan of the fun times on sea days is full of shopping their shops, bingo, trivia and some really bad entertainment. (Michael only decent entertainment of the week) About a 1/3 of the crew seemed indifferent or even bored or annoyed to work.

Guys burgers loved by all is only open 12-6 and is not what a great burger is made of for goodness sake. Most food closes at 11. "Snacks" opens at 1130 for a couple of hours and is basically the deli pre made for you to grab on the other side of lido. (dumb) Food was all around awful. From the dining room to the buffet - very little was more than ok. I talked to one guy who thinks instant potatoes are amazing- so he thought the food was outstanding. Keep that in mind when reading reviews! I can cut them a break for mass producing- Ive cruised 5 times total- Ive always had things I really liked and would eat again. I was often hungry every day on this ship. Salad was safe of course but for the most part it was bland, instant tasting and like it sat under lamps for a while. Even the steak house had slow service our second night eating there. The first night was top notch, second night not so much.

Cabin is comfortable enough. They could take hints from other lines in lay outs honestly- some do it better. I will never cruise carnival again- there isnt enough to do on this ship and the clientele is pretty low rent these days only compounding the crap entertainment, very smoking 2nd and 3rd floors in main areas -due to poor ventilation in the casino and awful food. We tried to make the best of it by passing time together and trying to get a seat in the few decent shows. Comedy - always full house, chair hogs in the butterfly lounge made it so if you missed a seat for the first show- you were SOL for the rest. So many misses on a ship that was once a hit. Attention Walmart shoppers- your cruise line is waiting, docked in Baltimore. Good luck with embarkation and debarkation- bother were also terrible. Why did I have a 1230-1 boarding window? I showed up at 1200 and didnt get on until 2 - why? Getting off was the worst ever in 5 cruises. Id bet Carnival has a ship or 2 (new ones? ) that are worth it- but I need another line with better food and service. Im willing to spend more for better service, surroundings, food, and shows. I hope NCL or someone out there will help me get over this extremely bad experience.

Cabin Review

Interior with French Door (obstructed views)

Nice having fresh air. Balconies in the wind dont do much for me anyway. (and it was quite windy quite a few days) Bed blocks door. Room could be laid out better. ONE plug. Just soap in this room- no other toiletries. Clean. Fridge is a cooler not a fridge- not that cold, cant be adjusted. Room service is VERY slow. Plenty of storage in cabin- no shelf at all for stuff in shower. Bed isnt awful but they just push the twins together and throw a sheet on- I remember a top layer, covering the split before. Cheap thing to remove from the bedding.

Port Reviews

Nassau

Travel warnings say get back on the ship by sun down yet we docked until 10pm. Does that make sense? Been to beaches here before. Its sort of beat up and tourist trap ish. Lots of people selling and hair braiding. Not too aggressive however.
