This was our third cruise, our third on Celebrity and our third on Celebrity's M Class having previously sailed on the Connie and the Summit. We've now covered quite a bit of the Caribbean. It was our first time in Concierge class. It was also our first cruise doing early walk-off.
We arrived in Ft. Lauderdale the evening before and stayed at the Embassy Suites. It was wonderful to wake up the morning of our cruise, look out the window and see that our ship had come in!
We arrived at the pier by 11:30 and by 12:15 we were on board. We did the Concierge Welcome Aboard lunch in the main dining room. If you're curious about it, it was a very typical main dining room meal, although with quite limited options. For an entree you had exactly two choices: salmon or lamb. I had the lamb, it was okay, but nothing special. It was also quite time consuming as service was at a dinner pace. When we emerged a couple hours later, we saw that not only the buffet was open, but also the pool grill and Aqua Spa, all three of which would have been better lunch options as far as we were concerned.
We were very satisfied with this cabin. We had plenty of room for the two of us. The shelves next to the dressing table were not only great for more storage, they doubled as a drying rack for clothes washed in sink. The balcony has a bigger table which is also at dinner table height so it's possible to enjoy a romantic dinner on the balcony. The cabin was fairly quite, although I did note that when you run the air and the seas are rough, the vents "knock". They did not do this in more calm waters.
Been many times, but this was the first time during the Fall Fantasy Festival. We had no heads up. I saw so many things I will never be able to unsee. A little warning would have been nice and we would have chosen some place else on the island. If you'll be there in late October, CHECK BEFORE YOU GO!
