Sail Date: Oct 2016
Cabin: Junior Suite

This was our fifth cruise on Grandeur and our first in a junior suite. We live an hour from the port of Baltimore and enjoy the fact that we do not have to fly to get to the terminal. As always we dropped off the luggage and sailed through the paper work quickly. We were on the ship from car to Centrum in 25 minutes.

We went to the Park Cafe for lunch and then to our cabin, 8052. We loved the extra room of the junior suite compared to a balcony cabin. We had a sofa and two chairs plus a bathtub. Our steward was named Charlie and he was great, We asked for a recliner for the balcony and he brought it to us within the day.

The only negative for the cabin was that it was under the Solarium and we could hear the food carts rumbling over us from early in the morning until late at night. We also heard a few cement footed people from time to time.

We were there for two days because Coco Cay was cancelled due to winds. The second day we got off of the ship and walked around the streets close to the dock. They have built some new buildings and now have an outdoor straw market next to the dock. They also are building some other places that may be shows and restaurants close to the dock.
