Sail Date: Oct 2016
Cabin: AquaClass 1

A reunion cruise with some great folks from Oz and Texas that we met on HAL's Volendam 2 years back. All agreed Celebrity a big improvement over HAL.

The Eastern Med destinations in Turkey and Israel led to a little pre-cruise anxiety but all was well.

Blu restaurant top class and Quisine as wonderful as ever. Layout of 15th deck is big improvement over Eclipse and Solstice. LawnClub Grill and Porch both hugely more attractive than hot glass blowing.

Cabin Review

AquaClass 1

Aqua cabins suite us well and we choose one near the fore lifts.

Steward was helpful and attentive.

Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)

An expensive port to get to from Rome airports or centre if you have luggage. But the town itself has some interesting bars and eateries.

Athens (Piraeus)

We have visited Athens many times before so simply took a local taxi into Piraeus to stretch legs and use wifi

Haifa (Tel Aviv)

Very spiritual tour. Odd that Celebrity docked in container port.

Jerusalem (Ashdod)

An odd viewing experience with half a tomb for each sex!
