The Breakaway is a huge ship but it is well designed with excellent restaurants and entertainment. The choices of restaurants exceeds many travelers needs but offer various choices. We never experienced a wait time of more then five minutes and the service was exceptional. The same menu is served in the three main restaurants so it is just the atmosphere that should be considered. O'sheehans is open 24 hrs and offered full meals but in a bar type atmosphere with the meals appropriate to the atmosphere. The entertainment was perfect and since we did see the shows in the theater before, it was nice to get a different perspective. The pool area is very congestive but it seemed we always found a chair, with many in the shade in case you wanted to avoid the sun. The bars were always crowded but again with a sufficient staff the wait for a drink was minimum.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B1

This was our second cruise on the Breakaway staying in the same rear facing balcony cabins. This time were were on the thirteenth deck and the cabin was comfortable and roomy. Our nights were the only problem. With bands on the aft 16th deck the sounds heard in our cabin were so loud and vibrating we could not enjoy any sleep between 9 and midnight. On our initial cruise were were on the eleventh deck and did not experience this problem. Speaking to our neighbors, we all experienced this problem. I would recommend only a aft facing cabin on one of the lower floors. Also the balconies get smaller the higher you go.

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

Quick Boarding

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Not much to do. Try the air boats ... we really enjoyed them in the past.

Nassau

Take a personal tour of the island rather than one offered on the ship. Cheaper and more personal.
