We were delayed going out to Barcelona with Titan Airways. When we eventually went through the gate there were buses to get us out to the plane. It was awful for the elderly - we were like sardines and had to wait over an hour on the plane due to a technical fault with the baggage hold. Then the same at Barcelona, more buses from the plane to the terminal as the plane was way away and there were also lots of steps. To top the lot, the transfer coach from the airport to the ship would not let us take our bag with all our valuables onto the coach as they said the bag was too big. Surely Cunard should advise what size the bag needed to be. Nobody took it off us on the way back!! We had all our money, jewellery, computers, iPad, kindles and didn't want to leave them in the hold so we had to get a taxi - 39 euros !!!! Nice start. Wouldn't book the flight ever again with Cunard or any of them for that matter. First time we did and it is the last. We usually arrive the day before and get a hotel with the saving on a cruise only basis.

We took 3 cases going - paperwork said 23kg in weight and NOT how many pieces. On the way back at check in - Titan tried to charge us for a 3rd piece of luggage. Nobody said anything on the onward journey. We refused and they said they would make an exception!!

Be careful.
