Overall, trip was well described as to ports and time tables were perfect at each stop. Weather was not an issue. Distance from ship to transportation was an issue for those with limited mobility. Rome was easy to get to but you better know the train time tables for leaving. As for weekends, trains don't run as often back to the ship. Felt more time was needed to see Rome and Venice. Those are major stops from all cruise ships so don't think they can extend dock time in those areas. It would be great, if they did. Eating at the late dining was necessary, as our tours ended close to the ship leaving port and rushing back to early dining was not an option. Many went for the "anytime dining" but some evenings we saw a line waiting for a table. So we stayed with the 8:30 pm seating.

Great ports and lots to see & do.

  • City Tour
Guide was on time and ready as we got off the ship. Excellent informative tour and showed us great locations to take pictures and also guided us into the walled city as well. Plenty of information that helps when looking at the buildings.

  • Duomo Walking Tour
Plenty of time for the basic "need to see" places and free time to shop and enjoy the inner city. Not enough time to visit the area in depth. Very nice ride into and out of the city.

  • Budva
Highly recommend this tour. They take you to Budva that also is a walled city and gets you back so you have plenty of time in Kotor's walled city as well. Money well spent as there is so much to see and they make sure you do. Do it!!!!

Same as above. Tours gives you so much more about the areas and it's history from guides that really are proud to show off their city. Was a pleasant experience.

  • Vatican Museums
This tour avoided the long lines waiting to get in. But it was crowded once inside anyway. Packing people into the Sistine Chapel was not a pleasant experience. It was too crowded but the tour guide did her best to present the information to us throughout the museum. Was worth saving hours of time in line. Only way to do the Vatican.

  • Doge's Palace
Secret tour takes you far deep into the depths of this massive building where most tourist will never see. Lots of stairs into several levels of the old prison. Again a far better tour than the other one.

  • Venice Walking Tour
3/4 boat ride thru quiet neighborhoods then 2 hours walking tour was really the very best tours we have ever been on. The information was great, seeing where Marco Polo grew up was neat. Wine & Tapis was over the top, great! I highly recommend this company to anyone travelling to Venice. It was awesome!!!!!
