We were on the October 23, 2016 sailing to Bermuda. Arrived NYC port around 1030AM and where on the boat by 1230PM. Typical wait around for an hour inside the terminal before boarding the Breakaway. Not a big deal but Im sure some will find this a problem. We went right to our room and dropped off our carry on bags and headed up to the Garden Cafe for lunch. Plenty of food with unreal selection, everything was good. This is buffet style so service was quick or slow as you wanted it. Returned to our cabin by 130PM to find the room ready and luggage already delivered. Ran into our room steward and staff and he made us feel welcome right a way. The point here is by 130PM you are feed and watered and your room is up an running.
Went to common area of the ship and watched some Sunday football and had some beers awaiting departure from NYC. Ship left on time as we sailed past the Statue of Liberty and out to sea. We had dinner at one of the main dinning rooms and found every meal to be fantastic. Freestyle made it easy for us to eat when ever we wanted. We used the gym most mornings and where able to get a tread mill without a problem and use weight machines with little to no wait. The room overlooked the water and made this a great stop to start our days.
The ship was clean, easy to get around and staff was friendly and ready to help with anything. My 18 year old daughter used the library and internet for school work and found the speed very good. We paid $60.00 for internet time. The library is just outside the main common area and was quite. We also took advantage of most entertainment, including comedy, Rock of Ages (outstanding), gatherings etc. We spent very little time in our inside cabin but found it to be plenty of room with a large bathroom.
Plenty of storage and just big enough with a large bathroom. Service was top notch. We spent little time here so not a big priority for me.
