Spent 12 nights on the Celebrity Constellation in October 2016.
For a 14 year old ship she is in very good condition. She was refurbed about 3-4 years ago but is well maintained. She does not have the glamour of some of the newer ships perhaps but that was of no consequence.
Sailed from Athens.
We had opted for Aqua Guarantee and were allocated cabin 9046. It was very typical of balcony staterooms on that level in the forward half of the ship.
The overhang from the pool deck had several consequences. There was a lot of condensation on the underside of the pool deck which dripped onto our balcony in the mornings. In warmer weather it may not be an issue. The sun only got to the balcony early or late in the day. In warm weather this would be a bonus. Another bonus was that when it did rain our balcony was protected.
The noise from above was insignificant. Very little scraping of deck chairs and the sound of feet on the track above was minimal limited to waking hours anyway. Across from the cabin was a crew only door and we thought that might lead to increased noise. Most of the time our cabin attendant parked his trolley of equipment in it anyway.
The bathroom was enhanced by having a shower door in place of a curtain. The fridge did not cool drinks adequately. The cabin was spacious enough and compared to some hotel rooms around Europe was quite well proportioned.
Overall the cabin was just fine.
In the time available we took a HOHO bus around some of the Island. There is more to Malta than we imgained.
Took a private tour into the hinterland
Just walked around old town
They are very desperate for business and you must be careful.
