First Holland America cruise was Alaska landsea and it is wonderful. This cruise was NOT. No laundry facilities. They give you a tiny bag you fill and they wash/dry for $30.00.

Daily Hotel Charges PER person.

Could not dock in Italy due to high winds. NO consolation except a free glass of Champagne at dinner. Had a private excursion booked. Lost my money as Get your Guide said too little notice and Holland America only honors tours booked through them.

Port Reviews

Cartagena (Spain)

Loved Cartagena. So beautiful and quaint. Did the free walking tour. Was fantastic!

Valencia

Did the hop on/hop off bus. Great way to see the sites

Barcelona

hop on/hop off bus was great. Two lines. If you want to see Park Guill and the Familia church designed by Gaudi be prepared to take both bus lines and spend three hours on buses. The walk from the bus stop to Park Guill is all up hill. Also, the hop on/off bus does not drop you off near your ship port. Long walk. The bus stops at all the great sites

Gibraltar

When you get to ports there are excursions with small independant shuttle buses competing for your business. Paid 20 euros each that included entrance fees. Was excellent (same Holland America tour was around $89.00
