To start off, this cruise was amazing, the staff, the ship, the ports and a majority of the other cruisers. This was an 11 N Eastern Mediterranean cruise. Departed on October 10th, 2016. This was the last Eastern Med cruise of the season prior to the trans-Atlantic. Weather was much warmer than we expected, which was great. This was our first Celebrity cruise, we have been on Princess prior.
We took a train from Rome to Civitavecchia then walked to the port entrance and took a bus to the ship. All very easy and not difficult even with luggage. We arrived to the port at 11 and were on the ship by 11:20. Everyone was friendly and gave us a warm welcome on board.
The ship is stunning and beautiful. All public areas are in great shape and kept to the highest level of cleanliness. As was our stateroom. We were in 9215, the first cabin on the forward side of the hump. Balcony is huge, wind was not an issue even though it was very windy a few times on this cruise. Room did not seem dark because of large balcony as some have been worried about on the forums. Bed was near balcony but I think I like the bed near the bathroom better. Room was in great condition and kept exceptionally clean.
