We chose this cruise for the itinerary. In a week you get a good taste of Southern Spain and Gibraltar. There is so much history, art and architecture that one week is not enough to explore in depth, but you can get the highlights. The timing fitted our vacation perfectly.
We enjoyed the food in the main dining room and had an especially tasty meal in the Pinnacle Grill. Service everywhere on board was great with an exceptionally friendly crew. The level of the Lido cafeteria could have been better for the main meal we tried there. The clientele were very suitable to our age-group: retirees. We spent many hours talking with new acquaintances with whom we had much in common. The dining room staff let is stay late into their resetting on a couple of occasions when the conversation was too interesting to break off.
We are not overwhelmed by the gala shows, but the lounge entertainment was of high quality especially in the Billboard on Board Bar where a pair of pianists entertained with oldies, and requests. Just up our alley.
We had a large outside cabin which was adequate. The passage between the huge bed and the tv was a little tight, but the rest of the room was comfortable. There was no chair at the desk, instead there was a bench which was a little hard to pull out, but there was a very comfortable two-seater couch. We were impressed by the large screen tv with a large selection of movies and tv programs, and were especially pleased with the myriad of electric outlets and usb ports in the room. For the first time, we could charge everything without worrying about switching over during the night.
