We chose this cruise for two reasons, cost of 11 people and 5 cabins. Our last experience with Carnival in 2010 was extremely disappointing. We chose a park and ride which saved us almost half of on site parking. Embarkation was smooth and efficient. Disembarkation, however, was like being on the Long Island Expressway at rush hour in the rain. The Valor is consistent to any "bargain" motel. Basic and nothing to write home about. Our cabin, on deck 10, was comfortable with adequate closet space, a good shower, but poor air conditioning. Dining was like eating in a nice cafeteria with personal waiters. Food was well prepared and presented. Nice variety, also. The entertainment was horrid. The production numbers were loud, amateur-like in its format and presentation. The comedy was held at the Eagle Lounge, aft. The shows were only 30 minutes each with a 30 minute break between. If, however, the lounge was full with more than 20 people waiting to get in, they would clear the lounge and have to get at the end of the line. Would be much easier to have had the shows in the main theater. The cost and the ports of call were the main reasons for this specific cruise. The excursions were excessively high priced for the value received. It would have been more economical to hire a cab and go! For the first time or second time cruiser, this may be a good vacation, but, in our opinion, not so for the experienced cruiser. We have the Magic reserved for April, 2017, but will be cancelling due this experience.

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabin 4H

Cabin had sufficient room and closet space. Nothing fancy, just the basic cabin. Bathroom sufficient room with good shower. Has soap and shampoo dispenser. Bed was comfortable and steward did excellent job maintaining it.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Point of embarkation and only an hour's drive to get there.

Aruba

Took a cab to the butterfly farm and across the road was the beach the locals use.

Bonaire

Just walked around the shopping areas.
