Embarkation:
Singapore was a mess. Thousands of people waiting around to get on. I couldn't help asking myself "have these people done this before". Things just seemed unorganized. In all, we were over 3 hours late leaving because embarkation was such a mess. It wasn't just passengers. We made it on at 5PM when the ship was supposed to leave. I estimate there were over 1000 people still behind us and the docks were FULL of supplies that needed to be loaded.
Ship:
Interior cabin with a bay window overlooking the promenade. Small but plenty of space for our stuff. In line with other interior cabins we have had.
Overlooking the promenade, it does have constant and loud noise from outside starting about 4PM to about 10-11PM. If you need quiet all the time, this room isn't for you. If you don't mind a little noise, it is a great option to a interior cabin. Also was neat to watch some of the parades and shows from our cabin and not deal with the crammed craziness below.
Not much happening in Darwin
The port is amazing. The staff getting you on the ship was poor.
Tons of things to do here. I highly recommend Quicksilver tours. While waiting to get back on the tender, there is an awesome brewery serving up some quality craft beer. Highly recommended.
So much to see and do. We used Uber everywhere we went. We went to the Koala sanctuary and caught a food and wine show in town... awesome day.
They drop you off in the middle of nowhere... so it appears. They sell you bus tickets into town, but really drops you off like 500 yards from where you get on. Such a scam.
