Anthem of the Seas should be renamed Mayhem of the Seas. I've been on 30 cruises and I'm a Diamond member with Royal Caribbean and this was by far my worst cruise ever! What was RC thinking when they designed this ship? It was a horrible nightmare. I was told "No Problem" to book dinner and shows at Guest Services once you board when I tried to book everything in advance and was told there were certain things I had to wait and reserve once onboard. Wrong!! Guest Services does nothing and never once answered the phone in 9 days! Instead you can run back and forth like a maniac trying to get your reservations finalized. Finally get to my cabin which was a mid ship balcony on deck 12. The room was beautiful but guess what? The bed was so hard it felt like sleeping on the floor. Asked for extra padding but nothing helped. Every night was awakened multiple time by loud banging that sounded like someone banging around pots and pans. Never could figure out where it was coming from. Want dinner? The only decent food we had was in the Specialty restaurants. We drove from Florida to be on this ship with the assurance multiple times that the Beatlemaniacs would be performing only to find out they had been cancelled by RC months before and we were not informed. We could've gone 2 weeks back to back on Oasis just 30 minutes from where we live if they had told us! Everywhere we went we felt cramped and crowded like sardines in a can. You could not walk down the promenade without bumping into people night or day. Worst of all.....this ship is completely unstable and rocks constantly even in calm seas. Want to walk on the walking track? You better be ready to dodge thousands of people mingling around on the sun deck which is flat in the middle of the walking track. This is an accident waiting to happen. This was the worst nine days of my life and I've never been happier to get home from a "vacation". I wouldn't sail on the Anthem again if they paid me to go. No way!!!!
