Just returned from our Western Mediterranean Cruise. Once again, Celebrity proved to be a cruise line in tune with their clientele. The ports of call were great and the selection of shore excursions were good. The crew, as always, was very nice, helpful and gracious; always a smile, hello and eager to engage in conversation. The ship was in good shape and the attention to detail was evident. We looked forward to the Captain's daily messages as he was a stitch and kept everyone entertained. The food was good, however, the plating was inconsistent. We noticed that on many evenings, our table mates ordered the same dish yet the portions we not always the same. More QA in the kitchen would be nice before the plates come out. Our cabin (Sunset Veranda) was comfortable; always like being on the back of the ship. WE were a bit disappointed that there were no longer formal nights. I hope those in charge took notice of the amount of guests who did dress for dinner and reconsider. Always thought that the formal night was special and there was a different vibe on the ship. We don't remember being informed that there were nights for more dressy attire than the casual attire advertised, so we really didn't pack correctly. Couple of things, the constant 'selling' of specialty dinners, picture packages, etc., became annoying after a while. Also, 2 or 3 days before the end of the cruise, one could notice a difference in the general on-board that the 'cruise was over.' One area that has gone down hill is the quality of breakfast room service, especially when you had an early excursion. All in all a good time.
