This was our second time thru the canal and the second time on this ship. We choose this cruise because of the itinerary as it had three ports we had not being to before.
As Latitude members we were able to get on board rather quickly in Miami, though we sailed late as the ship was getting late supplies.
The Sun is a smaller and a little bit older cruise ship. This means that it has good and some not so good things.
6013 is on the Oslo deck at the front of the ship. The room is a little on the small side with the head of the bed at the window. There is a small couch at the end of the bed that makes access to one side of the bed a little challenging. The bath room is small with a small round shower. If you are a larger type person you will have troubles in it.
As it is at the front of the ship and they use the thrusters you will hear them. that is your wake up call to let you know you are in port.
The room was OK for us as we traveled as a couple and are not in the room much.
we flew into Miami the day before the cruise and stayed at the Double tree by Hilton Biscayne bay. great hotel and location
This was one of the highlights of the cruise. We went to Antiqua a UNESCO city. This is the one that you do not want to miss.
rented a cab for a city tour. typical tourist place. would have rather have gone to another Mexican port.
We hired a cab for the day and went to the Old town and wondered around. We had the cabbie take us to a local grocery store to buy some coffee at 1/4 the price in the tourist spots. If you have never been to Cartagena make sure you go to the Old Town.
3rd time here. just wondered and shopped
