Chose to cruise back from Singapore and stop in Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and Bali.Have sailed on this ship approx. 3 yrs ago and it was wonderful. Couldn't fault anything. Very disappointed this time. They have withdrawn a LOT of daytime activities and replaced them with promotions. e.g. teeth whitening , acupuncture, spa specials to mention a few. Also the shows at night we had seen 3YRS AGO. They removed the free ice cream shop near the pool, free hot chocolate and the coffee is the worst.
Also the supposed refit was just cosmetic. If you call sectioning off a part of the smorgasbord dining with a screen, a new steakhouse, and then charge $20.00 extra for that it is a rip off. Same with the NEW Italian bakery which is an end of the cake section in the smorgasbord as well. The cards to open your cabin door stopped working all over the place (one person had to change hers 7 times!) Also thought they had cut down on staff although the ones who were there were absolutely wonderful as before. Very hardworking.
The tours off the ship in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand were well organized if overpriced. However they are very fast paced, no time for shopping, you cant shop and be back on bus in 20 minutes. Also older people need to be warned that they are very strenuous in the humidity, (it was extremely bad) and you need to be fit. We are in our 60's and fit and were ok just, but older people , even some younger and disabled people were collapsing from the pace and the heat.
Can' remember the number but Dolphin deck triple share. The shower was good size. One pull down bunk over one bed was fine. Enough drawers and wardrobes. No complaints.
