We wanted a short break and this suited us as we have enjoyed RCI cruises before. I was disappointed that they just weren't as good as they used to be - a good example is the cheap, made in China toiletries in the bathroom - suites used to have premium, named brands, not nasty cheap no-name stuff.

We felt drinks were very expensive and the 18% added to every charge on board is annoyingly excessive. Food in main dining room and the Italian restaurant was very good and really delicious, but the rest was quite average. As with a previous reviewer, we found Chops Grille a very expensive disappointment - service and food both well below what we expected. They charge to go in (we paid £56 beforehand) and a further $40 on the night for 'specials' that attracted an additional charge. Also, the wine list in Chops does not include the cheaper bottles of wine, so expect to pay $40++ for your wine. Chilean Merlot was $53!!!

Not sure we'll be rushing back to RCI anytime soon as the standards are not as high as they were 10 years ago. Such a shame because they used to be the best cruise line for us and we really did enjoy previous trips with them.

Junior Suite

Standard stuff, nothing fancy. Bathroom was OK and walk-in wardrobe worked well. We have had better suites on RCI and other cruise lines.
