We have cruised with Celebrity quite a few times over the years, indeed it was our second cruise with them this year as we were on the Reflection in January cruising the Caribbean, and while good there has definitely been a noticeable drop in standards over the last couple of years.

We arrived at the cruise terminal in Sydney for embarkation at around midday only to be told to drop off our cases and go and have some lunch and come back in a couple of hours. When I said we had hoped to have lunch on the ship I was told by the person at the gate that he believed it was a bit of a shambles on the ship at the moment and we'd be better off coming back later, this we did and eventually embarked with no further issues although it did cost me the price of a lunch I hadn't planned on.

The ship itself was fine, not as good as the Reflection, but there were signs of it being a bit tired with some areas looking like they need a bit of a refurbishment.

Port Reviews

Sydney (Australia)

Had three days in Sydney prior to the cruise, took the hop on hop off bus to get good idea what the lay out of the city was. Did the Bridge climb, wonderful if you're okay with heights.

Brisbane

Beautiful city with a lovely atmosphere.
